Audio IP Link creates a high-quality stereo broadcast link from your studio to transmitter; or from a remote connection to your studio. Ideal as a primary of back STL (Studio to Transmitter Link) Audio IP link is now in use at radio stations around the world! And now, an optional upgrade to a low-latency codec for minimal delays as low as 400ms.
Customer Comment: Great software! We used it a number of times to conduct Outside Broadcasts. Excellent Audio quality. We recieved a number of calls from listeners commenting about the quality... our listeners are stunned. We are now recieving requests for outside broadcasts on a regular basis.
Audio IP link transmits a robust, glitch-resiliant high-quality audio link from one computer to another via a standard broadband internet connection (ADSL / DSL / T1 etc). The price you buy includes the 'transmit' and 'receive' clients so you can create a complete one-way link with one-purchase.
We also have several customers using data cards for connectivity, for which we provide a setting requiring less bandwidth (66kbps versus the usual 132kbps).
Audio IP doesn't require any special hardware, will run on an inexpensive PC (Windows 2000 SP4 and XP Home / Pro with SP2 or SP3). In most cases a laptop is also suitable and can use your existing high-speed Internet connection.
Customer Comment: Using Audio IP Link to send our studio signal to our remote transmitter now costs us a tenth of what we were paying using an RDSI link, we don't require any expensive hardware - and the quality is brilliant!
In the standard version, our unique 'broadcast buffer' ensures that temporary glitches or connectivity issues with your Internet Connection will not affect the high-quality audio connection from the transmit end to the receiver. Even in the event of a major sustained failure, the Audio IP link automatically checks the connection and will re-establish the link when it returns. No more constant re-dialing to bring the link back up!
Now, our optional Low Latency codec maintains the highest stereo quality without a coding / buffer delay (down to approx 400ms) making it ideal for live programme inserts as well as OBs. Click here to listen to the Low Latency version in action.
Customer Comment: We tried a dedicated hardware device for our RSL, but even the manufacturer couldn't get it to work on our connection. Audio IP Link worked first time and sounded excellent.
Uses:
- Inexpensive remote broadcasts - quality good enough to send stereo music and speech from the remote broadcast back to the studio.
- Studio To Transmitter (STL) links - a cost effective alternative to RF links with high-quality audio from the Studio to Transmitter and a heartbeat text telemetery link back to the studio for confidence
- Link distant facilities for transfer of audio feeds from one computer to the other - distance no object, utilise Audio IP Link across the world!
Customer Comment:Top stuff! We're already using it to feed one of our transmitters; we're now going to extend coverage and will be purchasing another version to feed our new transmitter soon.
The Audio IP link from Broadcast Computers is easy to setup and operate and can be operated on virtually any Internet ready computer with reasonable sound card. (Recommended minimum Windows 2000 or XP Professional with 1Ghz CPU).
Each AudioIP suite contains one 'source' (transmit) and one 'remote' receive application - so there's no other software to purchase to send audio from one location to another. Each Audio IP link is customized for each customer with their own logo and software installer - please allow up to 2-3 days for delivery via email link.
